The River House is set against a lush backdrop of 1.5 acres of a private tropical garden. The specialty lodge is located a few minutes walk away from downtown Uvita, a small village in southern Costa Rica near the national park and beach of Ballena.
The house along with a guest cabin can accommodate up to 6 people at a time. Outdoor features include a salt water swimming pool and a polished recreational area where vacationers can play ping-pong, read, socialize and simply appreciate the luxurious nature around them. For safety purposes, The River House has hired a competent person as a guard on premises for 24/7 security. Just next to The River House, Rio Higueron flows between the blossoming floras of the tropics. There are several kinds of animals and birds flourishing in the greenery as well. During the dry season, hiking up the river and enjoying various beach and water activities by the ocean are possible. Surf Package
Surf Package is an ideal choice for surf enthusiasts. It features accommodations in The River House for up to 6 people and private surf classes with professional instructors. The classes will be taught according to student’s surfing skills. During the lessons, vacationers will be provided with surf boards. Each class is 2 to 4 hours in duration.
Private Spanish Lessons on Premise
It includes accommodations and private Spanish lessons. The package requires student to be fluent in English. Each Spanish class is 2 hours long.
Adventure Package
Those with an adventurous streak will love this package. Venture out to Lulo’s Waterfall, go horseback riding, learn to ride the waves with private surf instructor, go on canopy tours and enjoy whales and dolphin tours.
Daniel Moser Coffee Connoisseur Package
Visit the Finca de Fallas in the central valley with a tour guide. During the coffee farm tour, learn about coffee harvesting and farming techniques such as shade growing and organic fertilizing. After the tour has ended, enjoy a Tico meal with the farmer’s family. You can also visit Daniel Moser, Escuele de Cafe and the other Coffee Finca in San Vito on request.
