Hostel Casa de Lis is a simple but cozy boutique hostel located in Turrialba, in the Province of Cartago, Costa Rica. The hostel is sparkling clean, comfortably furnished and has a cordial environment that will make you feel at ease. Casa de Lis features spacious rooms and shared dorms, en suite facilities, fully equipped kitchen area, a lovely garden and a roof terrace. The hostel has a convenient location allowing travelers to explore the town and nearby places easily. San Jose is situated only 1.5 hour drive away while amazing spots such as Turrialba Volcano, coffee farm, spectacular waterfalls and river can be accessed readily. During your stay at Hostel Casa de Lis, you can travel around the rural Costa Rica, enjoy water sports such as white water rafting and swimming and come back to your homelike room.
Accommodations
Depending upon your budget, Hostel Casa de Lis offers private rooms and shared dorms for accommodations. All the rooms have ceiling fans and hot water supply. Some of the rooms also have wheelchair friendly facilities.
Private Rooms
Vacationers who are looking for some seclusion and luxury will find private rooms quite pleasing. There are three options for private rooms; a small private twin room, private room with a double bed and a dorm. The twin room is furnished with two single beds, a television set and an attached bathroom. It can sleep up to 2 people. The dorm is appointed with three bunked beds sleeping up to 6 people. It is suitable for small families and group of friends. The private double room has a double bed, a television set, en suite bathroom and a terrace. It is great for young couples.
Shared Dorms
There are three shared dorms; two can accommodate up to 4 people and the other one is large with a capacity for 6 people. The smaller dorms has a shared bathroom across the hall while the larger dorm has an en suite bathroom. Shared dorms are great for backpackers, students and solo travelers.
About Lis
Hostel Casa de Lis is owned and operated by Lis. Although she hails from The Netherlands, she grew up in different places around the world. Lis has lived in various countries that gave her a chance to learn about their cultures and natural environment. As she got older, her interest in traveling continued to increase. During one of her travels, Lis released that hostels are amazing for constant wanderers due to their low rates. Furthermore, they are great for getting good advice from other travelers and socializing as well. Lis chose to build Casa de Lis, a homely and happy place, in the vibrant town of Turrialba.
