What hidden treasure can be found in the valley below Miravalles? None other than La Anita Rainforest Ranch. Surrounded by Miravalles, Rincon de la Vieja and the Santa Maria Volcanoes, this ranch is owned and run by Ana and Pablo who are more than happy to accommodate their visitors. Nestled in the heart of the tropical rainforests of Costa Rica, it makes no secret of proudly displaying the wonders that it has to offer
Steeped in the rich biodiverse flora and fauna of the jungle, La Anita extends welcoming arms to all nature lovers. Here can be found rainforest trails that are well travelled by those who have explored the wonders before. The ranch is also a mass of gardens that nourish medicinal plants and organically grown fruits and vegetables. From these are made the exquisite cuisine that guests are treated to each day. Among the crops grown here are cocoa, palm, cardamom and exotic tropical flowers

Within the dense forests are hidden the widest array of beautiful plants and diverse animals in the world. Take a hike through the trails to the local volcanic sites or hot springs or become more active in one of the canopy zip lining tours. Take one of the farm tours where you can watch the farmers in action as they tend to and harvest the crops. Here you will find in action the four pillars of our community theme: Agriculture, Environment, Tourism and Community. Get a chance to know the villagers and become a part of their lives for a day. This is an invaluable cultural experience. This tour will also net you some of our traditional Costa Rican recipes made from the fresh, organic ingredients and formulated to get the most holistic value.
