Jaco Surf School is a surf institute based in Jaco, a surfer’s haven on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The camp is owned and operated by a Tico man called Gustavo Castillo. Gustavo is a professional surfer who has been riding the tropical waves since his childhood. He founded the camp in order to teach other wave riders the art of surfing. Gustavo, along with his team of qualified surfers, trains people from all walks of life to surf. It is a family oriented place with a suitable platform for parents and kids. However, couples, backpackers and solo travelers can have a fine time as well. The staff is completely trained in ocean safety protocols, CPR and first aid. The school offers surf lessons to all sorts of people. There are several surf packages with awesome features like surf lessons, free meals, transport service, accommodations, rejuvenating body massages and plenty of more. Jaco Surf School’s Surf Sessions

Jaco Surf School hosts private, group and standard surf sessions. They are all conducted on the beach and are offered to people of all surfing skills and ages. Private classes are one on one session that last for two hours long. They are ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers who are looking to improve their moves. During the private lessons, students are provided with bottled water, fruit salad, rash guard, surfboard rentals and other surf accessories. Standard lessons include a two hour long class on ocean safety protocols and offer amenities such as access to surf equipment, bottled water and snacks. Group sessions are available for larger groups of people which can range from 12 to 50 people!

The VIP Package

The VIP Package is a luxury package offering shuttle service, accommodations for five nights in a lavish hotel, and three meals a day, surf sessions, salsa dancing, yoga and spa services and trips to Manuel Antonio National Park, Tarcoles River and Arenal Volcano.

The Pura Vida

It is a fabulous package that offers shuttle service, accommodations for five nights, complimentary breakfast, five surf lessons, and access to surf gear, spa treatment and ether a trip to Manuel Antonio National Park Tour OR an adventurous day at Tarcoles River.

The Manguito Weekend

It is a perfect package for those who are short on time. It allows people to learn surfing in just two days! Guests are provided with accommodations and surfboards.
