Beginner’s Package

La Oveja Negra Surf Camp and Hostel organizes surf sessions for novices in Playa Tamarindo. The beach is perfect for newbies because the waves are smooth, safe and fun to ride. The surf instructors start the lesson by giving a theory class on the basics of surfing such as ocean safety protocols, surf etiquette, equipment, wave forecast and so on. This is followed by demonstration and practicing on the beach. Once students have mastered the basics on the beach, they can enter the ocean to practice. The classes are conducted either privately or in groups. In group classes, four students are assigned to one instructor. Beginner’s Package is three to seven days long with 5 to 11 classes respectively. The package includes accommodations, free access to surfboard and other equipment, a snorkeling trip, free T-shirt and a CD with your pictures.

Guided Tours for Advanced Surfers

For seasoned surfers, La Oveja Negra Surf Camp and Hostel arranges guided surf tours to various surf spots which are demanding enough to challenge. Popular places are Ollie’s Point and Witch’s Rock.
