Nosara is situated in Guanacaste province, just south of what is considered as the the ‘Gold Coast’ of beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. With its world class white sand beach, Nosara town has a sizeable population of ex-pats and has plenty of options of accommodations. This town has the clean beaches, protected national parks and relatively undeveloped forest. Nosara is one of the coastal towns that lacks nearly any development on the beach. The beach is about five miles away from the official town center of Nosara. You will find most of the local, Tico population in that center. There are a local airport as well as a post office in this town. In Nosara town you will also find supermarkets, pharmacy, medical facilities, and banks.

Like other part of the Costa Rica, Nosara has two seasons-dry season and rainy season but throughout the year the weather remain warm.

Transportation:
Nosara Airport is situated only 15 minutes from Nosara beaches and the district is served by the Nosara Airport. Nosara has unpaved roads which become very dusty in the dry season. From the major International Airports San Jose and Liberia, Nosara can be reached by through nature air, taxi service, shuttle, car and buses. There are roads and buses connecting the different beach towns. You can also rent ATVs, cars and bicycles to travel around the area.
