About Lake Arenal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Known as the most spectacular and largest lake in the country, Lake Arenal is located adjacent to the Arenal Volcano in the lowlands of North Costa Rica. Lake Arenal gives you panoramic views of the hills and mountains as well as lakes plus it is a good spot to see birds, reptiles, amphibians and other animals passing by.<\/p>\n

The entire one-day tour will last you about 6 hours but don\u2019t worry because there are more than enough in-between breaks and beautiful views to make you forget any body aches and tiring moments you may have.<\/p>\n

First part of the tour is you\u2019ll be kayaking in the Lake Arenal for about 2 hours. This is where you\u2019ll be able to visit various islands and you\u2019ll be searching for different reptiles, amphibians, birds and the like. The most famous creatures found in this area are howler and spider monkeys, sloths, coatis, osprey, kingfishers only to name a few.<\/p>\n

To top it all off, as you kayak along the Lake Arenal, be prepared for a breathtaking view of the Arenal Volcano which is known to be the tallest volcano in the country and one of the world\u2019s most active.<\/p>\n

Biking<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

After a couple of hours kayaking, you\u2019d be able to relax and have some snacks before you hop on your mountain bikes to see what else the Arenal area has to offer.<\/p>\n

The biking trails here are pretty much passable. These natural trails lead you to small Costa Rican neighbourhoods where friendly locals greet you. You\u2019ll be able to cross rivers as well and enjoy sight-seeing along the way.<\/p>\n
