The Vista Verde Lodge is situated in the mountains in the Puntarenas Province of Costa Rica, in San Gerardo. This lodge is 6 miles (9 km) from the town of Santa Elena. The hotel property stretches over 250 acres (100 ha)\u00a0with a commanding view of the Arenal Volcano, and part of Lake Arenal. The hotel nestled in the picturesque area of Monteverde that is renowned\u00a0for its Cloud Forest Reserve and also for its rich bio-diversity.<\/p>\n

Accommodation:<\/h3>\n

Vista Verde Lodge provides simple and spacious rooms with large windows that let in a good amount of natural light. You can choose from Standard rooms and Junior suites. Beds are placed thoughtfully throughout the room. In some of the rooms you will find tile floors and in some rooms floors are wooden. Each of the room has a private bathroom that is large and accommodating and also has hot water. In many of the bathroom you will also find\u00a0big bathtub. All the rooms have wonderful balconies from where you can enjoy stunning views of the Arenal Volcano.<\/p>\n

Restaurant and Bar:<\/h3>\n

\"restaurant\"<\/a>In Vista Verde Lodge property there is a wooden and quite large restaurant furnished with a number of tables and stools. There is also a lounge area equipped with a TV and wood-burning stove. This restaurant serves a diverse selection of delicious meals prepared with best ingredients. Many of the ingredients are collected from a local farm managed by Dona Hermida. From that farm abundance of fresh products are collected all around the year. Each day, the family farm, aptly named, Lluvias de Gloria (Showers of Glory), provides a diverse selection of harvested fresh foods. In this restaurant and bar you can also enjoy a variety of beverages and can try the organically-grown coffee beans.<\/p>\n

Activities:<\/h3>\n

Vista Verde Lodge property has an impressive 250 acres (100 ha) of cloud forest. This cloud forest is filled with native tropical plants and home to a variety species of birds and wild animals. While staying at the lodge you can enjoy walking through the trails with the help of a guide who will help you to learn about the local flora and fauna and ensure you return to the lodge safely. You can go to the Lake Arenal (Lago Arenal) from the lodge and enjoy a great sightseeing walk. You can enjoy Arenal walk that lasts about 2.5 hours. You can also go for ATV tour, bird-watching tour, canopy tours and many more.<\/p>\n
