A boutique hostel is the best way to describe the Sunset Shack. A boutique hostel is a small place that offers lodging to a specific type of traveler. The Sunset Shack is known for their partiality to surfers as it purports to be an \u201cold school surf camp.\u201d However, anyone who wants to bask in a surfers\u2019 paradise is welcomed. Located almost five meters from the Playa Guiones in Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica, the Sunset Shack boasts a clean, simplistic design that is set to encourage appreciation of the wonders of the natural environment. Attractions that are strategically located close to the Sunset Shack include the Nosara Beach, the Safari Surf School, the Garza Beach as well as the Nosara Wildlife Rescue Park.<\/p>\n

\"The-Sunset-Shack-hotel\"<\/a>Consisting of only eight rooms, this hostel offers guests their choice of accommodation. There are three rooms that are offered as private rooms which of course is a little bit more costly than the shared quarters. Up to six persons can be housed in each shared room and these rooms sometimes offer comfortable and tasteful bunk beds for resting and relaxing. The shared rooms also are provided with lockers or safes in which the guests can store their personal belongings. Of course with all the other amenities provided, the hostel remains true to its mandate by ensuring that each room has surf racks to store that all important surf board. Whether shared or private, the rooms come stocked with a mini-bar and a small kitchenette.<\/p>\n

The amenities offered at the Sunset Shack are equal to that offered at any big resort hotel. Equipped with an outdoor pool, a health club, a fitness center and free wireless internet connection in both private and public spaces, this hostel is top class. The most scrumptious cuisine can be found at the restaurant where guest can socialize over exotic fruit concoctions or the latest catch of the date that has been simply and expertly prepared. Other amenities that are offered for the comfort of the guests are complimentary breakfasts, coffee\/tea served in the lobby, a parking lot for self parking and laundry\/dry cleaning services.<\/p>\n

To bask in paradise is sometimes not enough so the Sunset Shack is so placed as to afford personal enjoyment either at the hostel or in the close neighboring areas. Take a walk to the Rescue Park or become involved in any of the the following activities at Playa Guiones. In Guiones there are activities such as stand up paddle boarding, surfing the waves on the Nosara or neighboring beaches, becoming involved in yoga classes, kayaking or catching fish.<\/p>\n

At the Sunset Shack, guests can bask in the pool or lounge in the areas designed for such pleasures. However, surfing is a big deal here and beginning surfers can arrange to have lessons by certified ISA instructors for an hour and a half each session. They will ensure that the lessons are informative and enjoyable.\u00a0 Boards are provided with each lesson but they are also available for daily or weekly rental.<\/p>\n
