The classes are conducted by a passionate chef, Scott Alan, who utilizes home grown and fresh ingredients to conjure up a delicious dish. \"CostaThe classes take place at The View Arenal at the base of Arenal Volcano on the road to the Rio Fortuna waterfall. The workshop is held all year round and classes include cooking instructions, practice and unlimited food and drinks. Be it a beginner or a skilled cook, the classes are great for everyone. To participate, you will have to reserve your spot in advance. Minimum age requirement is 12 years old. With Chef Scott and his team, learn to cook in a friendly and fun atmosphere surrounded by spectacular views of Arenal Volcano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

About Chef Scott Alan<\/h4>\n

Aside from running a culinary workshop, Chef Scott owns and operates a very popular restaurant in his hometown, La Fortuna, called Lava Lounge as well as a smaller cafe and deli called Gecko Gourmet. He also has a chutney making business called Buena Vida Gourmet. Scott fell in love with cooking at a very young age. Due to his enthusiasm and keenness, he began his training at an early age under the supervision of CIA graduate Chef James Gallant. After two years of training, Scott moved on to try out new experiences and challenges. In 2012, he started conducting cooking classes at Casa Rustica near the La Fortuna waterfall. The workshop became an instant hit and since then it has been attended by hundreds of people.<\/p>\n
