La Leona Eco Lodge<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Located in the lush confines of Corcovado\u2019s tropical landscape and a idyllic Pacific Coast stretch, La Leona Eco Lodge is a spirited medley of plush holiday amenities, sustainable eco tourism, a rich native cultural legacy and several spectacular nature based experiences (the Pacific sunset being one of the highlights of the plethora of heady natural sightings). The lodge is owned by a local family-the Morales Polanco, who strive to keep this unpretentious little family retreat as down to earth and uncontrived as possible. That doesn\u2019t in any way come in Leona Lodge\u2019s way of offering its patrons world class facilities and out of the world nature induced sensory experiences. Leona\u2019s surroundings have had the distinction of being described by none other than the National Geographic as \u201cone of the planet\u2019s most biologically intense places\u201d. \u00a0The lodge is spread across 36.5 hectares of a thriving rainforest and combines the best of all comforts and natural elements that every Costa Rican vacationer seeks.<\/p>\n

Activities and Amenities<\/strong><\/p>\n

The unassuming Leo Eco Lodge is a quaint country style natural ambiance sporting property that also comes with a variety of cultural experiences to make it the ideal starting point for nature and adventure based activities. Guests can savor the impeccable charm of the Corcovado region by taking a guided tour of the forest or going on a hiking trip along the Madrigal Rive. A thrilling night tour that allows visitors to spot the region\u2019s majestic wildlife (monkeys, tapirs, puma) creatures is also much sought after. In addition to these encounters, visitors can enjoy kayaking sessions and horseback tours. \u00a0There are also day long trips to the neighboring Corcovado National Park and the Sirena Rainforest. Lenona Eco Lodge also organizes some seasonal tours such as the Carate Trail Tour, the adventure packed gold diggers tour and a once in lifetime kind of phenomenal turtle watching tour. Every tour has been organized by taking into consideration the variety of levels and physical capabilities of the guests. La Leona also organizes several private and customized guided tours for their guests.<\/p>\n

The lodge\u2019s in-house amenities at the unassumingly beautiful Leono Eco Lodge are the Jardines del Mar restaurant that lets guests savor a nice combination of local and international fare in the setting of the Pacific Ocean. This restaurant sources locally cultivated products to infuse nice, fresh flavors and serves \u00a0freshly baked bread\u00a0 each day.<\/p>\n

Accommodations<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"La-Leona-Eco-Lodge\"<\/a>The accommodation options at La Leona are more down to earth, minimalist and functional structures in the style of 20 nature tents or cabins. Each cabin features all comfortable facilities along\u00a0 with sporting an intrinsically natural aura. A majority of the cabins have an unusual tropical garden bathroom, and all tent cabins have plush beds with top quality mattresses and soft cotton linen.<\/p>\n

Apart from being comfortable and naturally elegant, this lodge also offers attentive service and customized hospitality. The family owned Leona Eco Lodge emphasizes on operating its property like an authentic Costa Rican experience without the frills of the more innately commercial tourist retreats. Its take on a responsible tourism and sustainable development has won Leona Lodge several laurels. A fine example are the lodge\u2019s natural wood platform installations in tents crafted out of reforested wood. Every cabin is expansive and nicely ventilated (with large windows) to prevent a stream of harsh lighting that can disturb the surrounding wildlife. Rates<\/strong><\/p>\n

La Leona Eco Lodge\u2019s rates have been divided into two packages.\u00a0 Pack 1 is a three meals a day, tea and coffee pack; while Pack 2 is a dinner and breakfast, tea and coffee pack. High season rates for Pack 1 is $ 140 for double occupancy and $ 160 for single occupancy. Similarly high season rates for Pack 2 is $ 120 for double occupancy and $ 140 for single occupancy. Prices mentioned are on a per person per\u00a0 day arrangement and are inclusive of lodging, specified meals and taxes.<\/p>\n
