Tenorio Lodge<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Tenorio Lodge is located on a sprawling 17-acre land in the center of a rich tropical natural layout at an attitude of 1640 ft.\u00a0 It is a lush nature haven made up of Heliconia Gardens, quaint, countryside style ponds and native trees. The premises of Tenoio are a thriving habitat for hundreds of rare bird species and myriad fruits trees. Unassuming, yet snug, clean and aesthetically decorated-Tenorio Lodge merges the best of an authentic Costa Rica nature experience with responsible eco tourism practices and resourceful conservation initiatives. Among the many sustainable initiatives undertaken by the lodge, its efforts in the area of energy conservation, waste reduction, recycling and renewable energy are laudable. The property features several walking trails for undiluted adventure seeking buffs and two relaxing hot cedar tubs for the ones who prefer a less frenzied holiday.<\/p>\n

Tours and Amenities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tenorio\u2019s convenient location makes it a super hub for most nature and adventure related pursuits in the vicinity. Patrons can embark on an exciting birding watching trip to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge (a bird watchers paradise housing several indigenous mammal, reptile, bird and insect species) and the Palo Verde National Park (another popular birding spot playing home to over 300 exotic species of neotropical aerials along with an impressive range of mammals and reptiles). Visitors can also go hiking via the Bijagua Valley and stop to experience the region\u2019s magnificent volcano and Nicaragua Lake vistas. Guided horseback rides through the path that leads up to Tenorio Volcano is a much sought after visitor activity, while a guided trip of the Las Heloconias hanging bridges featuring a stopover at the beautiful butterfly garden (spot tons of insects and \u00a0Heliconias species) scores with the family tourist groups. Other popular tours for Tenorio Lodge\u2019s guests include rafting on the RiverTenotio and Corobio, quirky tree top canopy tours for enjoying a breathtaking \u2018view from the top\u2019 and a Las Hornillas tour. Apart from this, visitors also enjoy other experiences such as walking around the lush confines of the lodge to spot wildlife and other ecological treasures (snakes, hurler monkeys, sloths, caracaras, blue jays, porcupines, toucans, capuchins and more), taking off on self-guided hikes or simply relaxing in the verdant landscape of Tenorio. Thus Tenirio offers a great potpourri of recreational pursuits for a cross-section for tourists with varying interests in adventure and action.<\/p>\n

Some of the most noteworthy in-house facilities at Tenorio are a gift shop, hot cedar tubs, a restaurant and bar and innumerable adventure packed nature trails.<\/p>\n

Accommodations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tenorio Lodge\u2019s accommodation profile consists of eight neatly planned, spacious and well maintained bungalows that feature a king size bed along with a queen sized bed (both wrapped in orthopedic mattresses and mosquito nets), a silent fan and a bathroom (with solar heated water facility). All rooms sport a no-frills, understated elegance and are practical, comfy, expansive and nicely ventilated. Each room has a private closet area and one room is specially reserve in each bungalow for physically disabled guests. All rooms at Tenorio Lodge offer spectacular vistas of the neighboring forest and lodge garden landscape.<\/p>\n

Rates<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rates at Tenorio from December 1st<\/sup>, 2011 to November 30th<\/sup> 2012 are $ 115 USD and $ 125 USD for single and double respectively. All prices are inclusive of a full breakfast, taxes, internet access all over the property\u2019s premises and a Jacuzzi. Additional breakfast is charged at $ 10 USD per person, while dinner is priced at $ 25 USD per person.<\/p>\n
