Surrounded by the calming sound of the Pacific Ocean, Early Bird Surf House is tucked away on a quiet hillside on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula. Embedded in the mysterious rainforest, this open air loft-style surf house overlooks amazing view of the beautiful beach, constantly breaking waves and also the stunning view of the Playa Hermosa. Within fifteen minutes walking distance, you will find the main Playa Hermosa beach break. There you will find uncrowded waves, ideal for all level surfers.

Accommodation:

Eaely-Bird-Surf-House Early Bird Surfhouse offers comfortable shared, single or double rooms, all with free wifi. This house is ideally designed for couples, groups and also for the solo surfers. Divided into two floors, this house offers space for 20 guests. There are single, double or shared rooms to choose from. You will find shared bathrooms and showers in the upper and lower living areas. From the cozy Chill-Lounge you can enjoy watching unforgettable sunsets. Between the surf sessions, you can enjoy some tranquil time and read your favorite book in the comfort of your bed or enjoy watching the waves roll in from the deck.

Surfing:

In Costa Rica, Playa Hermosa is one of the most beautiful beaches that has constant waves perfect for the beginners as well as advanced surfers. Early Bird Surf House offers a shuttle that will take you to the surf spot 3 times a day. Within 15 minutes walk you can reach the beach break where you can take a surf lesson or can develop your surf skill. You can take shortboard or malibus, longboards in any available length that you find perfect for you.

From this camp you can also visit other surfspots that is located close to the camp but in that case you will not get shuttle service available from this surf camp. You can visit the Santa Teresa that is renowned as surf spot ideal for all levels. You can also enjoy surfing on centrally located beachbreak Playa Carmen. Mal Pais is another popular surf spot. This Indo-style reefbreak (sunset reef) is popular for its pros. For excellent outer reefbreak and big waves, Manzanillo is also a popular spot.

Nature:

If you want to take a break from surfing and want to enjoy exploring the beauty of the surrounding area, you can go around and also can enjoy the natural beauty through the unique telescope. You can go for watching whale from a close view or can watch an aguti hiding in the bushes or can spot different species of colorful birds. As the surf house is surrounded by tropical forest, it allows the guests to enjoy watching the richness of the colorful plants, a variety of wild animals and stay connected with the nature.

Tours and Activities:

Montezuma Waterfalls & Canopy Tour:

If you want to enjoy the rainforest view from the bird’s eye view, you can go for canopy tour. You can also visit the famous waterfalls where you can enjoy swimming as well as capture memorable photos.

Isla Tortuga:

You can go for a day trip to the beautiful tropical island ‘Isla Tortuga’. From Montezuma you will go for 50 minute boat ride and during the tour you will stop for snorkeling at the best snorkeling site on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast. After arriving the beaches of Tortuga, you can prepare a tasty BBQ lunch and also enjoy exploring the island. During afternoon you can enjoy kayaking, volleyball, snorkeling, hiking or can also get relaxed lying under the coco trees.

Quad-tour:

Adventure lovers can rent a quad and go for a half day, full day, multi day and weekly tour. This tour will allow you to enjoy exploring the area.

Other activities:

While staying at the Early Bird Surf house, you can enjoy other fun and adventure activities such as Scuba Diving, Yoga and Pilates, visit the Cabo Blanco Wildlife Refuge as well as horseback riding.
