One of the great attractions of the area is Miravalles Volcano National Park. The Miravalles Volcano is a stratovolcano located in Costa Rica in the Guanacaste province. At its peak can be detected up to 6 volcanic apparatus, 5 of them aligned NE-SE. Between 0.6 and 1.5 million years ago, as a result of several massive eruptions of pyroclastic flow, this volcano was formed. Its altitude is 2028 meters. It’s a great place for family adventure vacation! You can walk the hanging bridges, see beautiful waterfalls, go horse back riding, go down a 250 meter water slide, hike into a live crater and take a volcanic mud bath.

This cabin has a double bed and a single, own bathroom, hot water, fan and a corridor. This Tenorio Volcano overlooking cabin is perfect for small family/group. The jewel of the Tenorio Volcano National Park is Tenorio Volcano, from which it receives its name.

This beautifully decorated room has a spacious bathroom, corridor and ramps. It’s comfortable and cost effective.
Bugalow
The five rustic bungalows feature a unique living space, complete with a patio that provides beautiful views of the surrounding gardens and volcanos. You can enjoy the surroundings from inside the bungalow. The bungalows overlook the patio and garden. Each has small seating area, fan and bathroom with free toiletries.

Refugio de Vida Silvestre Caño Negro
The river and wildlife are awesome. The blue water is amazing. You can enjoy a hike on the beautiful trail and swim in the river. With its grasslands, forests and marshes, the surrounding area is home to different species of wild animals including several species of monkey, ocelots, jaguars and peccary and many more.
Tour Nocturno
The Night Tours are really exciting. The Tour begins a little before sunset at 5:30 pm. Throughout the tour you will have the opportunity to see reptiles, insects, mammals and nocturnal birds. It’s very adventurous and breathtaking.
Tour de Puentes Colgantes
Another great attraction is Hanging Bridge Tour. Spectacular bird life, hydro-electricity and a nice river to look at. It will be an experience of a lifetime.
In a nutshell, this lodge is perfect for a quiet base for exploration and relaxation/recovery from a busy life. It’s close enough for a day trip to Rincon or Arenal and you get to leave the insanity of those areas.
