Cacho’s Surf School is a surf school and board rental shop located in Playa Guiones, a beach in Nosara, in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica. The surf camp is pretty small with a tiny office and a rancho surrounded by tall trees and ocean breeze. There are several hammocks strung between the trees across the surf camp. The surf school is run and managed by a local surfer called Cacho. He is a great wave rider and due to his friendly attitude and amazing surfing skills, he is quite popular as an instructor among locals and foreigners alike. Previously, he has worked as a surf teacher in a number of surf camps and schools including Coconut Harry’s. After gaining a good experience, he decided to open his own surf school. Cacho’s Surf School is few of the camps in Costa Rica that operate all year round.

Cacho’s lives on the upper floor of his rancho so you will always find him around. He offers classes to all kinds of surfers and makes each class very informative, worthwhile and super fun. If you have any questions regarding Tico culture accommodations, kinds of restaurants, local attractions and other activities, he will be very helpful. Rest of the team at Cacho’s Surf School comprises of professional surfers who have a years of experience riding the tropical waves. Cacho’s is a budget friendly place perfect for backpackers and those who are tight on money. It has a family oriented environment so parents with kids can also have a great time here.
