The Central Pacific area of Costa Rica is one of the most popular areas because it’s so easy to get to from San Jose and the central valley. Puntarenas and Jaco are now less than a two hour drive from the capital. Manuel Antonio, which is Costa Rica’s most popular national park (and one of the most spectacular despite its small size) is also a big draw.
